Meet Dr. Shah

Dr. Shah was born very close-by in York, PA and raised in Binghamton, NY.

He attended college in his hometown at Binghamton University (SUNY), where he received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry.  He had published research in reproductive endocrinology during his last two years, while serving as a resident assistant and participating in student government.

Upon graduation he was accepted to The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. While in school, he participated in many activities. He was a teacher’s assistant in restorative dentistry, active in the student government, and member of the Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He also completed a minor in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

After receiving his dental degree, he began a year-long general practice residency program at St. Joseph’s Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York. He provided comprehensive dental care in an urban hospital setting.  He was fortunate to be able to work with excellent dentists in all specialties of dentistry, and gained vast experience there.

Dr. Shah moved down to the Baltimore area in 2004. and joined very soon after with Dr. Leary as an associate dentist.  The two became full partners in 2011.  His wife is a pharmacist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in downtown Baltimore, and they have 2 children.  In his spare time he enjoys hitting the gym, traveling, riding his motorcycle, and watching the Ravens!
